Cartoonist, poster artist, painter, illustrator and poet.
        In 1900 he graduated from the MUZhViZ in 1905 - TSUTR in St. Petersburg, studied at the School of Baron Stieglitz, then continued his studies in Paris with artists Steinlen T. and P. Laurent. For a time he lived in Italy.
      In 1908 he was one of the founding editor of the first eight issues of the magazine and the artist "Satyricon" (1908), in 1913, after the split of "Satyricon", among his best forces, writers and artists who participated in the creation of the magazine "New Satyricon" and to ban the magazine Bolshevik, seeing in him a counter-revolutionary ideas, and in 1918 he worked actively in it.
      Exhibited at various exhibitions of new art associations.
      From 1912 he worked as a set designer for the Foundry Theatre and "Stray Dog (St. Petersburg)," Die Fledermaus "(Moscow). Prepared a series of performances with the director KA Mardzhanova.
