Russian painter, master of lyrical landscape. Born in St. Petersburg . In 1871 - 1879 he studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts M. Klodt. One of the first works by the artist in 1876, was acquired by P. Tretyakov for his collection. In 1877 was awarded the Prize II OPH , in 1879 - a large gold medal and the title of the class artist of the first degree. Retired Arts in Italy, France, Spain (1880 - 1884). "For art and excellent knowledge of landscape painting " was the title of Academician (1885). Drawing School teacher OPH (1888). Participated in exhibitions AH (1872 - 1894) , OPH (1876 - 1888) , TPHV (1891 - 1893) , St. Petersburg Islands Artists ( 1893, 1894), All-Russian Industrial Exhibition in Novgorod ( 1896). Solo exhibitions were held in St. Petersburg, Paris and Nice ( 1908). He lived and worked in St. Petersburg. Art critics have called the master singer " over mother nature ." His works are in the Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum , XM Volgograd, Tomsk, Stavropol , Novgorod, Barnaul , etc.
