March 1 at the Russian Museum (Marble Palace) opened the exhibition Solomon Rossini.
One of the most legendary and enigmatic artists of the Leningrad underground. Virtually exhibited in Russia in recent years, though, and regularly comes over to Peter from France. Known very quarrelsome and difficult character, not prone to publicity, very few sell their work. The figure is absolutely alone. Not adjacent to any groups and companies. However, at one time had a marked influence on many young artists (for example, a group of "Friends"). The exhibition shed until April 1. Here is the text from the site of the museum: Solo exhibition of the artist Solomon Rossini, living and working in France and St. Petersburg, introduces beautiful works of different periods, the earliest of which dates back to 1965. The exhibition, called the author of "The Father's House," includes five thematic sections, chapters, "Drawing Lesson," "Spark," "Pure Heart," "Mercy" and "Requiem." Solomon, Rossin - stage name, which the artist Albert Solomonovich Rozin took in the mid-1960s, working as a schoolteacher in a village in the Arkhangelsk region. At that time, decided the main themes to which he would constantly refer to his work as a whole speaks to the aesthetics of non-conformism. Rossin Solomon seeks to comprehend the drama of the twentieth century Russian history as a reflection of the dark and dramatic side of the universe, its depth unfathomable essence. Humbled and suffering "little man" whose image is often found in the works of masters, can become a hero, grand and tragic. The feeling of anxiety lies in the very emotional painting style, in contrasting color combinations, strains and displacements in the forms. Not coincidentally, many of the items can be seen as the spiritual master of self-portraits, reflecting on the fate of the lonely and unprotected people in the big world. |

If you're about to light that " at the end of the tunnel" , it's hard to disagree .
Rossina hardly rank as the optimists . That does not prevent me, for example , to get great pleasure from his painting , and not distorted ( I think) . |

for information, putting a brief biography of Rossini:
Albert Solomonovich Rozin was born in 1937 in Gomel, during the war, he lived with his parents in the Urals, in 1955 the 58th he studied at VHPU them. Fly in Leningrad, and then in 1958-63-m - the Stroganov School in Moscow. In 1963 the artist has decided not to pursue a career in the official Soviet culture and went to work as a teacher in the village of Upper Toima near Arkhangelsk. There he continued to paint and took the name of Solomon, Rossin. In 1965, Rossin settled in Gatchina, and working as a designer at the Institute of Nuclear Physics, began writing a series of paintings devoted to the momentous historical events ("Borodino", "Execution of Pugachev," "Execution of Metropolitan Benjamin"). At the same time he worked on the portraits of the first persons of the informal culture of Leningrad (T.Gorichevoy, V. Krivulina), "ordinary people" (farmers, residents, Gypsies, mental hospitals of patients), over landscapes of villages and towns in the vicinity of Leningrad, Central and Northern areas of Russia, in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, the South Urals and the Buryat-Mongolia. In 1970, 80 Rossin was the only counterweight to the entire system of Soviet painting with the "choir picture" as its main product, creating a huge polyptych of the history and present of our country. The first public solo exhibition Rossina became possible only in the midst of restructuring reforms: in 1988 in the Palace of Culture. Sverdlov. In 1989, director J. Nazarov made a documentary about the Rossini "One at a time", which is shown in Leningrad at the cinema "Art" in Paris at the Centre Pompidou. In 1990 the artist went to live in the city of Lannion (France), but retained his St. Petersburg studio, and regularly came to work in Russia, which remained for him a source of pictorial images. Rossin showed more than 30 exhibitions in France, Switzerland and other European countries, and in 2005 he was awarded the First Prize of Salon d'Automne in Paris. Paintings Rossina are in private collections in Europe, USA and Canada are included in the collection of paintings of the Russian Museum. |

Pictures from the opening.
Excellent exposure ( by the way, did basically the author ). There were so many people that generally surprising for a man , 25 years on the St. Petersburg artstsene absent . Still, still remember . And for good reason . Works awesome on its density ( some call it energy) , according to some , it may be said of suggestive influence on the viewer. By the way, there were a lot of large -sized works, which looked great in the interior of the Marble Palace , although these rooms (2nd floor) difficult . 2 - acts as curator of the exhibition Alexander Lyubimov 3, 4 - by The names of the files Добавлено через 7 минут And more photos.
