21 January can decide the fate of Scythian gold


On Friday, the Amsterdam court did not decide about the start of the hearings on the return of Scythian gold: the exhibits were sent to the Netherlands from the Crimean museums, by the time the end of the exhibition Peninsula managed to secede from Ukraine.



"We really did suit against the University of Amsterdam from the Crimean museums for the return of exhibits that were used for decoration of the exhibition in the Allard Pierson Museum.
On January 21st is the deadline to which a higher education institution must provide a written response to the claim. This procedure is not public and does not involve any court proceedings," - said the press service of the court of Amsterdam.

Exhibition "Crimea: the gold and the secrets of the Black sea" was held in the Allard Pierson Museum in Amsterdam from February to August 2014. The collection claim and Russian, and Ukrainian side.
