Over the past 20 years (since the collapse of the Soviet Union), the former Soviet Union have created a unique environment for the development Shipmodelling as an art form with a pronounced commercial character. The uniqueness of these terms is determined by the fact that nowhere else in the world (except France, but more on that later) master did not build a classic luxury ship models implying commercialization of their creations. Higher kulminatsonnoy point in its development, the classical art of making models of ships in Europe, reached in France and Belgium. However, the eminent masters usually live club life and do not sell their models, the building which sometimes takes more than a dozen years. The French and Belgians are involved in their closed tenders, generously delyats diferambami with each other, although usually not without exceptions. Two very famous Frenchman, Olivier White (www.arsenal-modelist.com) and Bernard Frelish, still trying to sell their models.
At the post-Soviet space situation with the art of creating elite models of ships, is quite different. Probably the liveliness and predpreimchivost Russian soul has played a role. Striving to achieve better results in the creation turned soem hobby into a professional zanyatast. which in turn affected the quality of models. In an extremely short period (which is 20 years old) model of "Soviet" masters have come to the leading place in the world craftsmanship and highest quality. It is appropriate to compare the "Soviet" masters and their Franco-Belgian colleagues. Not a secret that in former times, our masters have learned from the French. And let them rejoice at the French teacher, our masters have surpassed the French school at times), and many eminent French is recognized, though not willingly (this is understandable, not so that want to move to a place of honor).
