Mozambican artist. Was born in 1936. He studied at the elementary-school art workshop Portuguese architect Amancio Guedisha in Lourenço Marques (modern Maputo). For his work is characterized by a combination of deliberately grotesque, dynamic images, and traditional methods with the principles of European easel painting with oil. Bright, sharp pointed color combinations associate it with traditional painting murals, textiles and other works of folk art in Mozambique. Worked as graphics and ceramics. Exhibitions in Mozambique, Portugal, Britain, France, USSR and other countries. Author works: "Birds, too, are caught", "People and animals", "Bazar", "Who killed my friend" (1961; all - in private collections).
