Is it because most of them most accurately reflects the essence of an object called? And trying to run away from them, we (and including myself, every day hundreds of times) at the same time looking for words to describe the same concept /phenomenon with varying degrees of accuracy. And now: it came to what we refuse to "hackneyed phrase" even when a more precise definition. Worse, we are for these "hackneyed words" ceased to see their meaning - and therefore disclaim, incidentally.
