Within the 28-th Rossiyskogo Antique Salon Ravenscourt Galleries present an exhibition of works of TB Alexandrov and IN Popova. Tatyana Alexandrova (1907-87) and Igor Popov (1905-88) - the legendary "Excavations" Gambling collectors treasury, which attracted all the Moscow collectors. In the memoirs of contemporaries, they were sealed just like that: slogger, dedicate their lives to the endless search for rarities and oddities. Bit by bit, building a history of art in their cramped apartments, they themselves are somehow unnoticed out of it erased. Infinitely far from the official culture, not acceptable to say nothing of the exhibition - the Union of Artists, they doggedly worked for myself and a few "dedicated", sharing the fate of the galaxy of painters of the thirties. Creating among the dusty rarities unique color-plastic world - each its own, but closely connected and interacting with kindred. Their art that holds a legacy of the French painting tradition - succinct and wise, always reveals the philosophical roots that enrich sophisticated metaphorical palette. The emotional and dramatic shrinking in the capacious formula finest colorful harmonies, shimmering, unearthly light jet with the ascetic, nekriklivyh canvases. The field of view of masters - the endless horizons of culture and life, intertwining it direct and figurative art in a single syllable. Their work for many years had been separated from the audience. Alexandrova awarded solo exhibitions only twice - in 1967 and 1979, Popov was not held by any one. For the first time their work will hang next to a feast among them so ardently loved antique curiosities.
