This (or a similar theme) have discussed a year ago, the administration against the site .. created the community, blogs .. (partially solved the problem) .. So what you offer, the ideal option .. (to allow the author the right theme editor), but I doubt that the administration of the site go to it, perhaps it is technically difficult, perhaps other problems.
