In the newspaper "Rumor" in 1879 appeared an anonymous article, whose author, meaning "birch grove", reproached Kuindzhi that he perezelenyaet their work. Kuindzhi, having learned that this author is his colleague TPHV M. Klodt, demanded his removal from the Association. This requirement is disregarded - in protest Kuindzhi he left the association of the Wanderers. But the question probably arose from the different side, after all, MK Klodt already existed painting "Avenue in the Birch grove" in 1867, perhaps he saw in the picture Kuindzhi parody of his work.
