Sometimes the artists themselves in 2-3 years after completion of the work to sign, but on small sketches, and 10-15 years after writing the work .. including with signatures should be taken (if the picture is 70-100 years and more).

About IIShishkin it is a good article ...
If you have not read recommend useful monograph .. (researched reference pictures of SRM and GTG ..)
Alla was a great restorer and art historian.
