In Stockholm today, the auction firm Auktsionverket provided on public display is designed to sell a unique work of Wassily Kandinsky - Watercolor, dated 1916 year, tentatively entitled "Impression of Sweden" - a gift to Paul Berre.
Watercolor is unique for several reasons. First, Vasily Kandinsky lived in Sweden, only 2 and a half months - from December 23, 1915 to March 15, 1916. The work of its artist gave the writer Paul Berre before departure - mean in the interval between 9 and 16m of March. Secondly, rare for Kandinsky's case - not only is a blue landscape depicts the spring the Swedish figure of a man - is to the same, and the portrait - the field itself Berre - leaning against a birch. Similarly recognizable characteristic highbrow Profile Berre, strongly reminiscent intravital bust of the writer and connoisseur of human souls, the work of Carl Milles - this sculpture Kandinsky saw the house at Berre. The third strange circumstance - Berre depicted against the background of his summer estate Vorstavi Lake Malmshe, which Kandinsky had never been. That is why in the landscape visible typical Swedish red-ohryanye houses, but actually in the house all Vorstavi vybelivalis lime. This could Kandinsky to tell his long-standing friend and former student Gabrielle Munter, who had been in the field name Berre, but apparently it in those days was not up to the stories and amendments. That is why the preservation of exceptional watercolors - fresh paint, as if laid yesterday, and even almost glow. Initial price watercolors - about 7 million kroons, 800 thousand dollars.
