 Cult of words and letters are always present in the work of artists at different times. I'm not talking about old books or icons, it's natural. In the early centuries of Russian art they appeared then on the picturesque scenes, in the manuscripts. The letters were present as one as one of the components of the picture, along with color and texture. Distorted picture, distorted and letters. Word fragmented and scattered, like the objects of still life, the whole space of the canvas. The authors used these particular words, demonstrating the possibilities in calligraphy, composition, and that they speak in formal quests. For artists inspiration remained the old traditional concepts of letters and words. With them and tried to combine the latest trends in art. In short, the letters in the picture had the same artistic value as well as broken glass, sand, bitumen, scraps of newspapers.

I always wanted to remove the artist, who appears every time between painting and the spectator. Perhaps, over time the role and significance of the artist in creating a work of art will be reviewed.

   We have heard the names of several artists who are considered "fathers" of general directions in our art. I quietly disappeared, as the "father-alimentschik." Many of my works have appeared only after the signature and the date (although preserved slides of those years). In the 60-70's to any normal person's head could not come, that this pile of clippings from newspapers or the pages of old magazines and is a work of art. This work could safely pass for waste paper (the rope, a long time they lay under the bed). I knew perfectly well that no one needs neither I nor this work, but conspiracy is a conspiracy. I did not know how to send work abroad, like to convene a press conference, and for me, hardly stood up to foreign diplomats.

  In vain the fear that in the latest art increases the possibility of deception, the appearance of charlatans. Well, there will be, but among the realists, too, was a lot of scams. Rogues were and are among the politicians, biologists, economists, cybernetics, songwriters. Are artists less talented than these? No need to justify them. Where's the money, business, the market - there is always a scam.
       Nothing to worry about. Modern art has its own laws property. Much I do not understand. Why is the work of one and the same artist, one year of establishment, the same size, are different? I do not know these laws, but they are. And the fact that the museums fall mostly good work, example.
