In 1967, a new period - at this time he begins a great series of works titled "Ocean Park" (he kept it for 25 years). One can say that he returned to abstraction, but an abstraction that was now completely personal. Works in this series are made by air photography. They are characterized by a vertical format and size, they are organized geometric segments, filled with gentle, refined tones - something like architectural landscape. These works are like a bridge leading from the early abstract art to Color Field Painting, and Lyrical Abstraction.
