Art Center "Pushkinskaya 10" traces its history back to 1989, when in an abandoned house on Pushkin Street settled independent artists, musicians and other leaders of the underground culture. It was later officially registered non-government organization, which is now called the Association of "Free Culture".
In 1998, the Association established in the walls of the house on the Pushkin Museum in Russia, the first non-conformist art. Since 1995, "Pushkinskaya 10" is a member of international organizations «Trans Europe Halles» and «Res Artis». Art Center represented the contemporary art of St. Petersburg at the state level at the festivals of "St. Petersburg in New York" (1996) and "St. Petersburg, Warsaw (1997).
