Biography; Czech by nationality, T. was educated at the Prague Academy of Art and Industry. In 1889, when opened in Kharkov Decorative Art School Borodaevskogo, Trakai was brought in to teach painting, composition and technology of materials.
In 1900-08 participated in the annual exhibition "A mug of local artists." In 1905 he participated in the creation of the Association of Artists of Kharkov ", was a member of its Board (T-in was located in the building of the Art School).

In the workshop at Trakai studied Ermilov, Kosarev, Tsapok and other famous artists later Kharkov. In addition to professional and general subjects taught here as drawing and folk ornaments. Spring of 1919 TA participated in the first joint exhibition and sale, which presented the work of professional artists, self-taught and children. In 1920, collaborated with G. Petnikovym edited this magazine "The path of art."
