Francesco Clemente (1952)
In the early 1970's., Finishing school, he began to study architecture, but in the end under the influence of art of Cy Twombly and Alighieri Boetti threw architecture and took up painting. In 1971 he had his first solo exhibition in the Roman gallery di Valle Giulia (Galleria di Valle Giulia). His work, in which he used traditional materials for painting, against a background of conceptual aesthetic that dominated during the late 1960's - early 1970's.
