Born in Rostov-on-Don, died in Moscow.
From 1928 he lived in Moscow.
Honored Artist of the RSFSR in 1964.
In 1936-1939 studied at the Art Studio of the Soviet district of Moscow.
From 1939 to 1941 he studied at the Moscow Art School.
From 1941 to 1942 he studied at the Art department of the Alma-Ata Theater and Arts College.
Member of the Great Patriotic War.
From 1945 to 1952 he studied at the Moscow Institute of applied and decorative arts.
From 1954 to 1958 he worked in the studio "Agitplakata. He was the chief artist of "Theater.
Since 1957 - member of art exhibitions.
Since 1961 - Member of the Union of Artists.
From 1959 to 1961 he worked at the works of graphic art.
In 1988-94 gg. supervised children's studio "The Firebird" for the UNESCO program "Beauty will save the world." Since 1996 - permanent chairman of the jury of the International children's drawing competition "Dialogue", which over the years attended by more than 25 thousand children from all over the world. He was awarded the medal "Svetoslav Roerich.
His works are in State Russian Museum, State Tretyakov Gallery, State Museum of Fine Arts. AS Pushkin State Museum of VV Mayakovsky.
