NEW YORK, Nov. 11 - RIA Novosti, Larissa Saenko. Portrait of Michael Jackson's hand, Andy Warhol, exhibited at Christie's evening auction on Tuesday, was sold for 812.5 thousand dollars, reports the correspondent of RIA Novosti.
Portrait of the King of pop music, filled the king of pop art in 1984, was estimated at 500-700 thousand dollars and still on the market was not.
This canvas is one of the versions of portraits of Jackson, which Time magazine subsequently issued its cover.
Two outstanding representative of pop culture met in 1977. And after attending a concert of Michael Jackson in 1981, Warhol described it as the most outstanding show, which he had ever seen.
Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009 at the 51 th year of life. The investigation revealed that he was killed. The main suspect in the case of the death of the singer - his personal physician Conrad Murray. Artist was buried in Los Angeles on September 3.
