Nicholas Krymov. Exhibition of works from private collections. To the 125 anniversary of the artist.
Exhibition "Nicholas Krymov. To the 125 anniversary of the artist "in the gallery" Our Artists "is devoted to the remarkable Russian landscape painter Nikolai Petrovich Krymov (1884-1958) and is timed to release of a two-volume catalog of his works, reason, prepared by publishing" The Art of the XXI century ". The first volume is an album of color reproductions, which is preceded monographic essay on the creative biography of Nicholas Krymov. The second volume catalog-resonator includes more than 1700 works from museums and private collections (paintings, graphics, theatrical-decorative art). The first time published a graphic artist's legacy, as well as his sketches of theatrical scenery and costumes. The catalog reproduces more than 800 works, most of whom are little known even to specialists, chronicles the life Krymova, his articles on picturesque principles, ways of gaining artistic skill, rare archival materials and photographs.
Compiled catalog-resonator and an introductory article by Ivan B. Porto art historian, art critic, Ph.D., Honored Artist of Russia, member of the International Council of Museums, an honorary member of the Russia Academy of Arts. Creativity NP Krymov has always been the main subject of scientific interest IB Porto, he was devoted to the PhD thesis, a number of publications. In 1984, the 100-th anniversary of the artist, IB Porto organized in the halls of CHA big anniversary exhibition and prepared for publishing catalog of Krymov.
