Drawing pastel on paper, executed about 1896, the most expensive lot of the session "The Impressionists and modern art. Preliminary assessment of "Dancer" is from 7 to 9 million dollars.
Painting by Claude Monet "Vetey in the sunlight" (Vetheuil, effet de soleil) in 1901 went for 5.46 million dollars, and "The Old Port of Cannes" (Vieux port de Cannes) Paul Signac bought for 3.78 million dollars, slightly exceeded the preliminary estimate. Interest of the buyers called "Portrait of the Marquis Somme" by Tamara de Lempicka de, which eventually was bought for 4.34 million dollars. Sculpture of Auguste Rodin's "Kiss" sold for 6.35 million dollars, well above the estimate of 1.5 - 2 million. The work of Vasily Kandinsky sold for 2.65 million dollars, Rene Magritte for 3.10 million dollars, Kees Van Dongen for 2.09 million dollars, Salvador Dali, for 4.00 million dollars.
Paintings by Matisse, Mondrian, Modigliani is not sold. Picasso bought a piece of work for 1.34 million dollars, "Head of a Woman" is not sold.
