Investing in projects ... In my understanding (in this case I had in mind) - is investing in the artist (the project is the promotion of the artist). Period of 1-3 years (probation). Includes: Personal exhibition, catalog production, advertising, open-air, market, a gradual increase in prices, etc.
Investing in the picture ... Purchase paintings at prices far below market.
