Not so long ago in the plot of de Stael was described by the history of Dr. B., a collection which was put up for auction after his death.
It said that the doctor himself collected Impressionist paintings and early twentieth century, but his collection included about 20 works by artists such as Joan Mitchell (if I remember correctly) and Nicolas de Stael (in which I'm sure - 1 oil and 2 collage one of them at Glasha on avatar). So, he bought them only because he believed his gallerist, Jacques Dyuburu (although one can say that in this case, the fakir was drunk, and the focus is not a success: buying, Dr. B. did not give himself the trouble to develop them - they have lain in his basement, wrapped).
