I am very positive attitude to the order. For centuries, artists have written to order and will write. The more complicated the order, the more it stimulates the imagination and encourages the artist to solve problems that he may himself have tried to get around. Order, of course, provides experiences. Do you remember how to solve such problems other artists and trying to find some new move or even to duplicate someone found a solution. It is also useful.
I have a lot of writing to order. But personally, I never take an advance payment. But I often do some sketches and discuss them with the customer. While there was no case in which I do not have a job or not paid. However, I have a fairly tight control "input". To get to me "the street" almost impossible.
There is another rather strange nuance. Men shun me. For 10 years I sell the paintings and in that time no man bought me a single picture or drawing. Buy and bought exclusively by women, often in several jobs at once. Although somewhere
