This sale was held in Paris in January 1997? Or were others? Please tell us.
Yes, somewhere in that time. Commissioner of the winners Chamberland, Giafferi, Doutrebent. Then it was combined sketch, and then they split. Now there is only Giafferi. Will I lose the documentation from those trades, and from whom she is now unknown. Meticulous historian still could try to search.

Actually there is nothing to tell. Directory was not, perhaps, that the list of lots for buyers, too. Works sold a lot. Felt that the artist meticulously and carefully store any pocherkushku, gets out of his hands, no throwing, not destroyed. Failed or unfinished things are not scraped off and not gloss over, but preferred to write on the reverse side of the canvas or cardboard. Quite a lot of sketches especially the small size were unsigned, some of them, then came across in the most unexpected places already signed.
Several portraits of unknown people on both sides of cardboard, some not finished.
Many still-lifes. Real art among all this abundance there was nothing at all.
We bought mostly by professionals, the French marshal, not knowing the artist - just for variety. Inquisitive eye can still find among the many boutiques deposits something with the sale.

Trade Organization has helped close to the heirs of Russian Parisian artist Alia Rehbinder. I think she was associated with various organizations in Russia, in particular, with the museum IA Bunin in Orel, for the acquisition of some of the lots. I do not know whether her efforts were crowned with success.
