AP Bogolyubov was the knight of many Russian and European orders.

In May 1853, following the advice of the Duke M. Leichtenberg, AP Bogolyubov decided to leave a career naval officer in order to devote himself to painting. During his life, AP Bogolyubov created a gallery of paintings, representing almost the complete history of the domestic fleet.
