Pyotr Subbotin-Permyak
September 27 - October 18, 2009 in the gallery Proun at Winzavod within the III Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art Exhibition "Kudymkor - the locomotive of the future". Opening September 26 at 20:30. Curator Catherine Tar and artist Leonid Tishkov tell the story of Pyotr Subbotin-Permyak. The exhibition is devoted to the life and work of Peter Subbotin-Permyak (1886-1923) - artist and educator, who gave his tragically short life of the promotion of new art in the Perm province, in particular, in his native village Kudymkore (now the city of Kudymkar). This unconventional authorial exhibition tells about the artist of the past from the present day, finding common ground between today's art and one of those who stood by his sources. Curator Catherine Tar invited to attend contemporary artist Leonid Tishkov, whose attitude to art similar positions Subbotin-Permyak.
