Apostolic rite of Perm. XVIII century.
Sculptures of apostles and evangelists, as a rule, did not have a separate appointment, and is part of the what or the overall composition. These figures were set in the iconostasis, or as coming to Christ. Sometimes the sculptures were evangelicals, along with a sculpture of the Annunciation on Royal Doors, or served as an ornament on the lectern. In some cases, the figures of the apostles and evangelists were in the group with the other sculptures in the compositions of "Last Supper".
