March 8, 1909 in St. Petersburg opened exhibition "The Impressionists", although in fact it was a performance of "Triangle" Kulbin. The exhibition did not cause any excitement, no swearing already familiar criticism, since the majority of participants (L. Baranov, A. Nikolaev, A. Rubtsov, N. Sinyagin, C. Baudouin de Courtenay, A. Dunichev, L.Shmit-Ryzhov, N. Kalmakov, E. Spandikov) nothing much had been able to demonstrate, either now or in the future. The exceptions were J. Shkolnik, who grew up in a prominent figure of the avant-garde, and, of course, joined the group of Elena Guro and Mikhail Matyushin that have had a tremendous impact on all of world art.
In contrast, moderation and amateurism Triangle, a group of Garland, opened its exhibition of 18 March 1909 g, vary drastically, the small size and professionalism. Here were are brothers and Burliuks Lentulov, who had been severely criticized for the "insane" innovation. Other participants of the exhibition (A. Exter, L. Baranov, Gaush) somehow not mentioned.
It is necessary to mention the exhibition of the Kiev "Link"
(Burliuks, Larionov, Goncharova, Exter, Bromirsky, Lentulov, von Wiesen, etc.), even though it is less well known, however, the reaction of the local press does not differ from Moscow.
Total season 1908/09 is not introduced in the new art of great change, but facilitated by the familiarity and the convergence of future colleagues.
Well, a few images that were clearer than the people lived.
