Some call it a "Jewish artist", and thus want to put in the narrow "national" scope. I totally disagree with this definition, and now understand how it is ridiculous and untrue in fact. No topics or on the mood I can not find it anything Jewish. He is a Russian artist in every sense of the word.
"Tsvetochustvilische-named him Petrov-Vodkin. (from the article G. Klimovitsky)
Here is the artist's aphorisms, which is best captured in "romantic perception - the dominant of his spiritual order."
- Madness - this is the highest manifestation of mind;
- Each new job, saying refutes previous;
- My triad: painting, music, sky;
- The greater the talent, the narrower the circle of his admirers;
- Every new job - a declaration of love with the single unique soul.
