Well, what I saw in villages in central Russia, although in 1985 - it was so. We lived one old woman, from the village of 20-30 houses residential three-four, and all the men, or sit, or just came out. Film old women in this sense is very naturalistic. It is seen that masterpiece, but it is impossible to watch.
As an alternative to all this is my favorite Jarmusch film Dead Man.
Watched about twenty times and still going.
