Yes, mankind has gone the way of scientific and technological progress, which has not been more than 3000 two thousand years (of the earlier civilizations speak here will not).
What we have now? ... computers, telephones, cars, airplanes. Almost all items of modern civilization have a square shape or form that nature can not create (as in the nature of all objects have irregular shapes).
