Monday, June 8, in London at auction Sotheby's, on the works of Russian artists, were sold 28 lots. The most expensive was the work of Boris Kustodiev "Country Fair", estimated by experts in 1-1,5 million pounds and sold for 2,841 million pounds, reported at the auction house.
The second cost was the picture of Isaac Brodsky's "nanny with children, previously considered lost. She was a sold for 937 thousand pounds sterling at the preliminary assessment of 300-500 thousand pounds.
Over 702 thousand pounds left work of Nicholas Roerich "Treasure". Its estimate also was 300-500 thousand pounds. For now, Konstantin Korovin, boulevard Sebastopol, valued at 400-600 thousand pounds, managed to gain 481 thousand pounds.
Among the other artists whose works were sold at auction on June 8, appear Aivazovsky, Polenov, Makovsky, Nesterov. Total trading on Monday amounted to 7.906 million pounds.
