Mikhail Roginsky, one of the most important Russian artists of the second half of XX century, the leader of the Moscow underground, one of the few who have already become a legend in his lifetime. For Michael Roginskii father to lay down some Russian pop-art works by early 1960. Roginsky understand everything his own way, unexpectedly, and the artist he was not like anybody else. Roginskii a keen scent for every falsehood in unproductive usual "art" methods of perception and reproduction of the world bequeathed even quality, but two days ago was hopelessly art, do not meet the immediate sense of reality. The language of his paintings evoked comparisons with such masters of art such as Giotto, a famous "Door" (1965) has repeatedly called the most famous piece of contemporary domestic art, comparable in importance to the Black Square by Kazimir Malevich.
The book "Fools eat cake" - a collection of memories of friends and colleagues of Michael Roginsky, which give an opportunity to assess the uniqueness of his personality in sufficient fullness.
On the day of presentation of the book "Fools eat cake" visit the National Center for Contemporary Art will be able to see an exhibition of paintings by Mikhail Roginsky, which will showcase the work of Mikhail Roginsky funds from the NCCA and private collections.
