По умолчанию Portrait of Margarita Morozova VK Shtembera

Portrait of Margarita Morozova Kirillovna executed VK Shtemberom in 1893, refers probably to the very first years of marriage, Margaret Kirillovna. In this portrait, it is still very young, in a ball gown, with a fan, without any ornaments, with a haircut in the Greek style. No smote all the huge diamonds, not even a thread of pearls. The thin fabric of her dress on satin cover, written and gently as if blurred, contrasts with the rich and deep background. I could not help recall the words of Theodore Avgustovich Stepun: "Somehow Margarita Kirillovna I always seen in silver-purple, green and pearl colors of the lunar spectrum. Write a portrait of her, it would be best of all pastels. In colors present influence impressionistic portrait of the school, but the clarity of the picture is nowhere admits the loss of form. Eyes that Andrew White described as "dazzling, with a gleam of sapphire, the emerald," particularly attracted artists. And the literary portraits of Marguerite Kirillovna exactly coincide with its picturesque image: "Underline the dark eyebrows, long black lashes gave them in combination with a tinge of blue squirrel some oosobuyu steel iridescence. Such a typical Russian gray eyes are especially good in anger and sorrow," -- continued Stepun. However, the date can be roughly defined as 1893, as III of the exhibition of paintings of the St. Petersburg Society of Artists, held in Moscow in 1894, no later than March, in the directory under the number 1 means a portrait of Ms. Morozova (no initials). But there is evidence that exhibited a portrait of Marguerite Kirillovna.
In the same 1893 Viktor Karlovich Stemberg wrote another mysterious portrait, possibly under the influence of communication with MK Morozova, it is called "Waiting". Location of the picture, written in a valid NU, I have not found, but remained black and white postcard of the time, no output. Clearly visible to the artist's signature: Shtember.1893. I think there are definitely similarities.
