And students often do not have enough money to "brand" canvas and cardboard. Here I have work on cardboard from a box of oranges, and even on an ordinary corrugated cardboard packaging (this is true, not oil, and acrylic). There is a work of Swedish artist Ellis Wallin in 1950 - on the cardboard packaging of some garden tools: apparently, wanted to capture the subject immediately, and a suitable material at hand was not. In the 1920's was a director of the Academy of Fine Arts in Leningrad Maslov. So he ordered to cut "ideologically undisciplined" of pre-revolutionary masters of the Museum of the Academy and to give students as a canvas. He then tried for it, but the paintings never return ...
