Soldatenkov Igor Alekseevich (1934-2009)

Academician of the Petrovskaya Academy of Sciences and arts (St-Петербург).
Honorary citizen, Bohr and Maloyaroslavets.
He graduated from the Ryazan art school, then Moscow state art Institute named after Surikov. He later taught at the same Institute for many years - Professor of the Moscow state art Institute.
Among his teachers were: I. M. Lazarov, N. P. Hristolubov, K. M. Maksimov, G. B. Smirnov, I. I. Orlov, F. I. Nevezhin.
With the direct participation of the artist Bohr created a picture gallery and Museum of Maloyaroslavets-выставочный center.
In 1999 the house was established Cultural Foundation of Igor Soldatenkov.
The artist's works are in the collections of over 20 museums of Russia.
