Or, after all, it's safe to lay at the feet of the New Prophet gold, frankincense and myrrh?

When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy, and went into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and bowed down and worshiped Him, and they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts : gold, frankincense and myrrh. (Mf.2 :9-11) (emphasis added.)

on the eighth day after birth.

On the eighth day after his Christmas Jesus Christ, according to Old Testament law, adopted circumcision established for all male infants in a sign of God's covenant with Abraham and his descendants. When the commission of the rite divine child was given the name Jesus (Savior) (Matthew 1, 21, Mark. 16, 17, Mark. 9, 38-39, Luke. 10, 17, Acts. 3, 6 Acts. 3, 16 , Phil. 2, 9-10), proclaimed by the Archangel Gabriel on the day of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. (c)
In the New Testament rite of circumcision gave way to the sacrament of baptism. Feast of the Circumcision of the Lord to remind Christians that they have entered into the New Covenant with God, and «circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of flesh by the circumcision of Christ» (Col. 2, 11). There is 1 January of the Gregorian calendar, the Orthodox - as Jan. 1, but either the Gregorian or the Julian calendar (the last date corresponds to the XX and XXI centuries January 14 Gregorian calendar), depending from the style adopted in a particular local church. Interestingly, quoted a message (№ 75) insults the religious feelings of Tjutchev as well?
