Padva Efim Davidovich (1915, Dvinsk, Vitebsk province - 2010, Jerusalem)

Painter. A member of the Union of artists of the USSR. In 1937 he entered the Studio IZORAM

(Fine art for working youth) in Leningrad, where he taught

I. I. Brodsky and M. A. Aslamazyan. In 1939 the red army, 1941-45, on the front.

In 1955, for the first time participated in the exhibition, painting: "Cottage in winter" (1954),

"Nizhny Tagil" (1955). In December 1956 was first widely presented

at the AUTUMN EXHIBITION of LENINGRAD ARTISTS. Exhibition

was open from 5 December 1956, in Leningrad, in the House of the artist. Participated

473 artist, was exhibited in 1989 paintings, sculptures,

the graphics, applied art. Catalog was published: "Autumn exhibition of works by

Leningrad artists. Directory." (Comp. E. B. Korobova, G. I. Pribulsky, V. M.

Shvedova). L., 1956. (Leningrad Union of Soviet artists). In 1960-е.

traveled extensively in European Russia. Written landscapes

"Pereslavskii Dali" (1960), "Hills suburbs" (1961), "Selena" (1962) and

others noted a broad perspective and a generalized color scheme. In 1962

63, designed the covers in book publishing, including scientific literature.

(1981). Writes Leningrad landscapes: Petrograd side, Vasilievsky

island, Kolomna: "Fishermen on the Neva river" (1963), "Leningrad motive" (1964),

"Palace square" (1968), "Warm day" (1972), "Karpovka" (1976),

"Yachts" (1979), "Kronverk" (1980), "Leningrad. Warm day" (1982).

In 1987 in Leningrad publishing house "Soviet Artist" was published catalog

"Efim Davidovich Padva - art Exhibition. Directory"

In the mid 90-х, most of the paintings of E. D. Padua parish went to the St. Petersburg company "Russian Video" and was sold along with numerous other works by Leningrad artists abroad. They are now in Western collections. Efim Davidovich Padva 90-е years emigrated to Israel.

Died July 31, 2010 in Jerusalem..
