Hermitage and Russian Museum presented tax claims

The tax authorities have made claims to the Hermitage and Russian Museum, said Radio Liberty, April 28.
Tax officers believe that the leadership of the Hermitage ukrylo 149 million rubles, to be taxed. This amount was attributable to an expense, but the money was spent on travel director Michael Piotrowski and other museum staff. Moreover, tax authorities believe that the money spent not only for official purposes.
In February 2009, the Hermitage had already won a bankruptcy court hearing on the matter, but the tax authorities have filed an appeal and a retrial is scheduled for May 25.
"Russian Museum" tax presented similar claims more than 7 million rubles. It is considered by an arbitration court of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region.
