In 1915, E. Prampolini publishes manifesto "A futuristic set design and choreography» (Scenografia e coreografia futurista) and in the same year began working as a theater artist and designer of theatrical costumes. Particularly fruitful for the artist was the period since 1920, when he worked for the Roman Teatro del Colore. In the 20's, during his first trip abroad, met in Weimar, with the artistic direction of the Bauhaus and one of its theorists Theo van Duisburg. During that same trip met with Vasily Kandinsky, Al Lisitsky, Paul Klee, Oskar Schlemmer, Piet Mondrianom and other prominent artists of this period, attempting to create a painting of a special design-geometric language of forms for the drawing.
E. Prampolini starts cooperation with the art magazine "De Style" and wrote several articles for him. He was late 10-ies is actually a supporter of futuristicheko-geometric construction of tracks, which is typical for members of the second wave of Italian Futurism. In issued in 1923 together with Ivo Pannaggi (1901-1981) and Vinicius Paladin (1902-1971), "Manifesto of the mechanical art» (Manifesto dell'arte meccanica futurista) artist finds grounds for a new art mechanical elements originating from the world of machines, extols the dynamics and rhythm inherent in the mechanisms.
With the coming to power in Italy, Mussolini's E. Pramolini, like many other artists, futurists, supports the new regime. In 1932 he, together with Gerardo Dottori, Mario Sironi and directs and performs in the futuristic design of the grandiose "Exhibitions fascist revolution» (Mostra della Rivoluzione Fascista) in Rome.
