Zharikov Ivan Ivanovich (1918-1982) - Russian artist, painter. Born in the village of White Clay, in a peasant family. He entered the Art Academy in Leningrad (1936). When the war started, he joined the Soviet army, was taken prisoner. After the war he lived in Austria, then in the United States of America, where he worked with the famous photographer A. Newman. Several times gallery in Philadelphia, where the works Zharikova, was robbed, disappeared his best work. In the artist's work reflected the then rural life and peasant life.
