Investigative authorities of St. Petersburg has finished investigation of criminal case against artist and actionist Peter Pavlenkova upon his performance of "Freedom" with the burning of tires in support of the Maidan, on February 23, 2014 at the Church of the Savior on spilled Blood.
Pavlenkova charged under part 2 of article 214 of the Criminal code of Russian Federation (vandalism). As part of the investigation of the case was conducted by the socio-psycho-linguistic examination, which established the fact of vandalism. In particular, in the conclusions of the experts are saying that Pavlensky desecrated Malo-Konyushenny bridge and disrespect to society.
For this article, he faces imprisonment of up to three years. Petr Pavlensky denies the charge, pleads not guilty.
