Dear belkatt, Maslennikov was several commemorative exhibitions.
And for the 60th anniversary and the 70th anniversary, and of course for the 80th anniversary.
This work "Thaw" in 1979 was exhibited at the exhibition in 1994.
She (as well as several other best works) was sold by the author in the early days of the exhibition and replaced.
The exhibition was open for more than a month, and you could actually this and several other of the best works cannot be seen.
Part of the works from this exhibition was bought by the head of the EBRD office in Belarus Alan Popov, and now they are in Canada.
The exhibition catalogue was not published.
Sometimes fate works of these masters unpredictable.
"Thaw"is indeed one of the most successful works of Pavel Vasilyevich.
