The Belarusian society of friendship and cultural relations with foreign countries, the Department of linguistics and area studies East of the faculty of international relations of Belarusian state University, the Society of friendship "Belarus-Turkey" in the hall of the "House of Friendship" was organized on October 28, 2013 gala evening dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Establishment of the Turkish Republic.
In the framework of the festive evening was the opening of the art exhibition "Flag to me and my nation's star", dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birthday of the great Turkish poet Mehmet Akif of Orsay and the 90th anniversary of the Turkish Republic (29 October 1923).
The exhibition was hosted in the beautiful hall of the House of Friendship and organically complementary to the overall atmosphere of the Belarusian-Turkish friendship.
The exhibition was first displayed themes of Turkish history associated with the great political and cultural transition of the country from the Ottoman Sultanate to a democratic Republic.
Sculptor Alexander Botvinnik is working on the image of the national hero, the founder of the Turkish Republic Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. The exhibition is presented in the form of a computer print his draft bust of the great reformer for the future of the Belarusian-Turkish art center.
