По умолчанию In the UK antiques has risen in price despite crisis

For three months of 2009 in the UK have risen prices of decorative art, namely, the jewelry and silverware. This conclusion is contained in the report of the Royal Institute of Valuers (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Rics). The newspaper The Guardian, Citing the report, noted that the highest prices for antiques seen at auction in lots of low-cost sector - a thousand pounds or less (ie up to one thousand five hundred dollars).
From Rics report shows that investors are seeking safe investments purchased antiques. A similar phenomenon is observed by experts, to monitor the work of the largest antiques fair TEFAF in Maastricht in March 2009. Commentators noted that affluent buyers willingly invested in the "old masters", which seem to them more reliable modern art.
The prices of contemporary art to fall still not finished. In early April 2009, Mikhail Kamensky, general director of "Sotheby's Russia - CIS, predicted that the work of contemporary artists have become cheaper by 45-50 percent from their highs.
