I would say otherwise. All religions are traced back to a kind of ancient knowledge and the revelation received for the first time back in ancient times (but, rather, have always existed). Nobody speaks of seniority or superiority of one religion over another.
The main question'm not in it. Question in the deepest sense, all religious teachings, but its something to look at the external trappings unprepared in a special way the man is very, very difficult. From this perspective, the most "democratic", so to say, religion is Buddhism. He offers a few (or rather, an infinite number of) paths for the seeker, depending on the individual inclinations and abilities (take, for example, Dzogchen, which is a religion and some have already called hard). However, the same yoga offers the seeker a lot of options, among which there is a way of knowledge - Jnana-Yoga.
But in Christianity, by the way, there
hesychasm - the same path of knowledge, implying the achievement of the superconscious state by meditation practice.
So argue about which religion is a better, older or more correctly - is meaningless. Roots and purpose of all - alone.
