Adolphe Joseph Thomas Monticelli (1824-1886)
Monticelli parents abandoned their child immediately after birth, and he was brought in from the peasants in a small village in the mountains of Provence. However, when he was 11 years old, the parents took him to Marseilles. Even then, he has discovered a large taste for drawing. In 1846 he moved to Paris, where he met with Theodore Rousseau, Delacroix ...
