Rostral column
Dear Colleagues Here's a sketch. Oil on canvas 2 mm, size 35 x 25 cm, no signature. On the reverse side of any inscriptions or marks, only spots of color. A number of signs that the shortage of space, I shall not give, can set the date of writing etudes: the end of May - June 1946 aged degree cardboard is consistent. Etude went unframed, terribly dirty, fly-bitten and deformed almost up colorful layer outward. Had to clean and straighten (I have the experience). To the surprise of the high technical quality of the painting (by the way, a characteristic feature "of the Leningrad School") - and primer, and paint are held very firmly, no shedding.
Tried to find the author in the same manner of writing. Image of the sky and grass on sandy soil is very similar to those on the Volga sketches NE Timkovo the 1950's. Unfortunately, not found the reproductions of his works are 1940's, except landscapes siege of Leningrad 1942-1943, but the quality of reproductions is not very high, the manner of writing it badly visible. In the 1940's Timkov lived in Leningrad, in 1947 he had a solo exhibition.
Might not honorable members of the forum suggest the likelihood of authorship, NE Timkovo, and if it is not exactly it, in what direction should conduct a further search?
