Today in the Garage Center for Contemporary Arts opens an exhibition of works by David Lynch and Christian Lubutu - their joint project "Fetish". On this occasion a press conference at which both the author rather informally talked with reporters, and Christian Lubutu even demonstrated their own shoes.

Christian Lubutu defined fetishism as the admiration of the object in which the object appears as a totem (and this has nothing to do with aesthetics of BDSM, so her own Lubutu). Many men and women are a freak in that regard to footwear. In the photo, created by Lynch, the viewer sees unusual shoes. For example: shoes with open foot (at the place where there should be a shoe sole) - in this case, fetishism aimed at that part of the legs, which are generally not visible. However, as noted by myself Lubutu, it is not a specialist in fetishism. The creator of the famous footwear said that women are buying shoes from him, often told him that at such high heels almost impossible to walk - and the idea of this project - the creation of shoes that no one can walk (and having visited the exhibition it is easy to verify - height at the heel of one pair of shoes 27 cm !!!). This desire for shoes, not for walking. In these shoes have to look and use it as a fetish. Absolute exemption from the framework. The purpose of the exhibition - to show what is inside us, "Inland Empire", if we use the terminology of Mr. Lynch, a fetish as an opportunity to look into your own consciousness.
Lubutu remarked that he like many others is a fetish of shoes, which is divided for the wizard into two categories: first - an entirely new shoes before the first scratch, the second - the shoes from scratches. And he likes the shoes of both categories, but the first still more, because the shoes from scratches, alas, no longer a fetish. (just after the designer showed his shoes and noticed that prior to his arrival in Moscow scratches on it was not )))))
Famed shoe designer said that Lynch has reduced its overall enthusiasm for garden art. But the shoemaker himself confessed that he loves nature and the garden for him - the embodiment of the man and his mind, he likes the gardens created by people, not nature, and generally believe in people more than in nature. That is what interested Lubutu garden Lynch.
David Lynch on the question where he got the idea there, he replied that all his ideas, he draws from the outside, any idea - a matter of chance "is, walking down the street and suddenly there is an idea ...". One of the journalists asked about the personal fetish masters, to which Lynch replied that he felt like a psychoanalyst's office, and his fetish was not named.
Naturally, questions were raised and about the movie.
